Why travel?
Traveling has a purpose, whether you want to relax and relieve yourself
from stress at work, you want to see a place that you have been dreaming
about since you are little, you want to pamper and treat yourself, meet
old friends, indulge a different variety of food and explore other
cultures. Whatever the reason may be, traveling is more than just the
place, but it is an adventure. Something that you can share with other
people, even with your grand children in the future, something that you
can remember for the rest of your life. I believe, one of the things
that influenced me to travel more is facebook, everytime I see friends
posting pictures and status, I feel the urge to travel and see the place
too, and since pictures are limited, blogging the experience is a great
way to tell the story behind the picture. I consider myself as a
neophyte in the blogging and travel world. My travel purpose is for me
to appreciate God's wonderful creation more and my blogging purpose is
not just share but also I want it to be something that I can look back
to 5 to 10 years from now,a way to help me remember the details of my
adventures :)
I already have a list of the places that I want to visit here in the
Philippines in mind, and so now, I want to put it into writing. Maybe at
the end of the year, I can look back at this blog post and see the
things that I accomplished.
Places that I have been to: (Philippines)
*Baguio City- of course! its my hometown, well, I grew up in the City of Pines, but my Dad is from Romblon and my mom is from Pangasinan.
*La Union- it is one of the nearest place from Baguio, I had the chance to go there several times when I was in college, since our university is affiliated with the hospitals in La Union (hospital duty), and so during our free time my group would go around the San Fernando City and explore the place.
*Pangasinan- Dagupan, Tayug, Manaoag, Bimnaley
*Ilocos Sur- Explored Vigan when I was in 4th year high school.
*Kalinga- I had my hospital duty there too when I was in college (perks of being a student nurse)
*Manila
*Romblon- My Dad's hometown.
*Boracay-since it is just near Romblon and we have relatives living in Boracay. I am going to blog about my first travel to Boracay last May 2013, as soon as I retrieve my pictures.
Places that I want to go to for the next few months:
*Ilocos Norte- since I have already been to Pangasinan, La Union and Ilocos Sur, I might as well complete my region 1 experience, by visiting Ilocos Norte, everytime I hear the word Ilocos Norte, I can already imagine windmills and the white sand of Pagudpod. I am already planning for my trip with my mom and sister next month, really excited!
*Dagupan- for Bangus Festival on April 30, I promised myself that I need to experience atleast 2 festivals here in the Philippines every year.
*Cebu and Bohol
*Palawan
*Davao
